HONORARY SERVICE
Since its inception The Mysore Bank Employees Education Society is being ably run in a democratic way by the Retired Executives of the State Bank of Mysore (now State Bank of India) many of whom had held top / executive positions.
The membership of the Society is limited to 75 life members as per the approved bye-laws. The members will elect Eleven (11) members by ballot to the Governing Council, which administers the functioning of the institution. The term of the Governing Council members & the office bearers are three (3) years. From out of the Governing Council members the office bearers like President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Asst. Secretary and Internal Auditor are elected by unanimous choice.
There are two Management Committees to oversee the functioning of the four institutions, one for the Degree and PU Colleges and the other for the High School and Primary School. Each Management Committee has a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman and other members, all selected from the members of the Governing Council.
A noteworthy feature is all the office bearers are performing their duties on honorary basis without any remuneration, without even claiming any conveyance allowance.
As per Co-operative Societies’ Act, every year the Annual General Body Meeting is conducted Annually and the accounts are audited by a qualified Chartered Accountant and are promptly submitted to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies and Income Tax authorities.
A fully computerized back office under an Office Superintendent is looking after day to day work.
